Growing up in a hands-on household, Emery Gyr learned from a young age about energy conservation, recycling, composting, where we get our energy from, and how "turning off the light when you leave the room" translates into lower bills and a reduced carbon footprint.

Gyr joined MEO as an Energy Specialist in August 2011 and provides residential energy assessments and education services from the organization's northern office. He has a background in construction, youth educational programs, recycling and composting, and community event coordination.
