Join Northern Michigan Green Communities Regional Workshop on February 16Sustainable communities are the focus of this half-day workshop to be held at Northwestern Michigan College's University Center Campus on Thursday, February 16, in Traverse City. Northern Michigan and Upper Peninsula municipality, county, and township; administrators, planners, appointed and elected officials are invited to participate in this event sponsored by the Michigan Municipal League, the State of Michigan Energy Office, Northwestern Michigan College and Michigan Energy Options. Learn about current projects in your region and explore ways to bring projects to your area. Network with government and non-government organizations and discover how these organizations can support your programs. The workshop will end with a tour of the Energy Demonstration Center at Northwestern Michigan College where you will see exhibits of energy efficiency and renewable energy technology. Leave the workshop with a solid sense of what can be done and how to support your green community initiatives.
