Outreach Team Member Job Description

The Better Buildings for Michigan program is designed to create a sustainable energy efficiency market by providing education and outreach to help foster demand for energy improvements and investments in Michigan buildings and homes.

As part of the BBfM outreach team, members would be expected to implement the following activities:

1. Conduct community outreach sweeps to a designated group of Bath Township residents

-Distribute program marketing materials

-Inform residents of program benefits and requirements for participation effectively, with the ultimate goal of signing up residents for BBfM

-Track outreach activities and report to Outreach and Education Manager

-Participate in informational meetings and outreach events in Bath Township

-Assist Outreach and Education Manager with additional program tasks, including data entry

2. Assist in follow up activities

-Conduct follow up phone calls to participants and prospects

-Assemble tracking information for program planning and data entry

-Maintain participant relations and address any issues or potential barriers to participation

The Outreach team will play a critical role in securing community support and involvement in the BetterBuildings for Michigan Program, and success of the program will largely be based on the efforts of this team! Individuals should expect to be held to set standards for engaging residents, integrity of communication with the public, and safety while conducting work in the community.

The outreach team should be prepared to work a minimum of 15 hours and not more than 40 hours per week, largely during the afternoon and evening hours Monday-Friday, including some weekends, depending on each week's schedule of events. Compensation based on experience.
