In her role as financial support for Michigan Energy Options' East Lansing office, Desiree Holmes assists the Finance and Administrative Coordinator with bookkeeping services such as financial record keeping, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll.

Holmes has a BA in Sociology from Michigan State University, and is currently working on an accounting degree from Lansing Community College. She has worked for another Michigan-based nonprofit as an accounting clerk, and takes part in various fundraising events for LCC's American Marketing Association.
